Opening times Museum

The Jewish Museum of Venice is open on

Thursdays: 11 am – 6:30 pm (last admission 5:30 pm)

Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays: 10 am – 5:30 pm (last admission 4:30 pm)

Saturdays: closed

All visitors must show the Covid -19 GREEN PASS (Covid certificate) to enter the Jewish Museum of Venice and to join the guided tours.
The Green Pass Certificate serves as proof that a person has been vaccinated against COVID-19, has recently received a negative COVID-19 test, or is protected against the disease after being infected (recovery valid for up to 6 months).
At the check, Visitors will be asked to show a valid identity document.

The Jewish Museum of Venice will be closed for Jewish holidays on:

September 7th and 8th (Rosh Hashanà)

September 16th (Kippur)

September 21st, 22nd, 28th, 29th (Sukkot)

On September 6th the museum will close at 3:30 pm (last tour in English at 2 pm

On september 15th the museum will close at 2 pm (last tour in English at 12 pm)

On september 20th and 27th the museum will close at 4 pm (last tour in English at 3 pm)

Guided tours to the Synagogues

Regular guided tours in English and in Italian to the Levantine Synagogue and the Luzzatto midrash are available on Thursdays (from 11:30 am until 5:30 pm) and on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays (from 10:30 am until 4:30 pm).

It is possible to book private guided tours to 2 synagogues (including the Italian synagogue) and to the Luzzatto midrash.

Private visits can be scheduled every day of the week except Saturdays in Italian, English, French, Hebrew and Spanish.

Useful informations

Closing Time for the Museum, the Synagogues and Cemetery
The Museum, the Synagogues and the Cemetery are closed on Saturdays (Shabbat), during Jewish festivities, on December 25th, on January 1st and on May 1st.

It is forbidden to enter the museum with luggage.
