Venice has always been Marie-Solange’s strongest source of inspiration.
Now, with this collection of works on paper explores the beauty and spirituality of the ritual objects and sacred places of the Ghetto.
Marie-Solange Ladenius was born in Rome to Dutch parents and grew up in Italy, Belgium and Switzerland. She studied languages in Florence, and after a period of study in Cambridge, Massachusetts, moved to the US and began working as an illustrator, initially for the Harvard Business Review. Since then, Marie-Solange has continued to explore her creativity through various mediums, but principally pen and ink and watercolour. She has lived and worked in Boston, New York and London. She now lives in Lugano, Switzerland.
